| Perfect; see monsterology! This is an awesome book! The only problem is that it doesn't have as much cool bookletts and things you can interact, but by itself it is really awesome! It has some monsters you would recognize and some new ones! |

| I used to read this book to my own children and bought this copy for my grandchildren. The book is still as much fun for the grandchildren as it was for my children -- and the best part is I get to watch my children enjoy reading it to their children! It means they have fond memories of me reading to them. |

| This is a beautiful story! I love the whole series- how big and small, each has an essential part to play... trusting, forgiving, accepting... and ultimately finding your place and purpose.
They are calling this book 4 and it IS the 4th story of Alexa Daly, but "Into the Mist" should come before this one, even if the story within the story happens before Book 1. |

| In this book, Neil Gaiman writes roughly six words for each letter of the alphabet and Grimly draws pictures of a kid in a sewer. The text isn't particularly special, but when the entire book would fit on a greeting card or the back cover of a real book, i suppose there's not much you can do to wow people. Gaiman's a good writer but even he would need two paragraphs to say anything interesting. The pictures are really cute and are the only reason to read (look at?) this book. | Scholastic put out a tape many years ago with this book being read to music. It is the most fabulous addition to this book. I've seen 3-5 year olds with special needs who won't sit for anything, perk up and take interest when this book is read along with the tape. Unfortunately you can't really find it anymore. If you do come across it, GET IT! |

| This is one of our favorite books.
The chaos caused by the monsters (more sensitive kids might get upset, I suppose, but my nieces don't) is done in a funny way, and the fact that the BIRTHDAY MONSTER CLEANING CREW! fixes everything at the end makes it all better. Very catchy text, really funny illustrations. Perfect for a kid's first or second birthday. |
