| Her book...the story/plot and character build up keeps getting better than the book before...I just got annoyed with her writing...not that deep or "educated"...not your Thomas Mann but good enough that I'll pass along to my daughters when they come of age. The story is clean - perfect for young pre-teens/early teens. |

| This book just closes the story perfectly...actually her last two books are my favorite b/c the story/plot and character build up is so great...but her writing did annoy me until I just plowed through it - b/c the story is that good, it was easy to read this within a day...just her writing style is not that great... not your Thomas Mann or Ayn Rand. But I would definitely pass it along to my daughters when they come of age. |

| First, Amazon.com - they're the best. They're fast, reliable and stand behind their product.
Twilight, the story/plot and character build up are great...her writing is not the best but for teenagers, and for the times now, good enough. It might be annoying to read - maybe for some college students, b/c the writing is not the greatest...not like your Thomas Mann...but love the story and it's "clean"... would definitely pass on to my daughters when they come of age. |

Unfortunately, it is long on anecdote and short on analysis of the ecofactors that govern people's lives. There are no lessons for anyone who wishes to emulate Bill Gates. Its still a matter of talent, drive and opportunity. |

| Up until the time Mack returned to the shack, I was fairly interested in the story. But Young's attempt to humanize the religious figures made them laughable. The writing turned amateurish, with lines of dialogue followed by he chuckled, he yawned, she sighed. One cannot chuckle, yawn, or sigh a sentence. I began scanning the pages just to find out what happens. And then, when I read about The Missy Project, I felt I'd been had. What a way to promote and sell books. But I guess it has worked. | I agree with many of the previous reviews. The book had the wrong ending. The story is very detailed, well-written in that you get a true picture of the characters, their personalities, lives and situations, very clearly. This detail causes you to get emotionally invested and then the last chapter is like a complete let down. Your panting, wondering what is going to happen next only to be let down. The book starts out slow, having you wonder the point of all of these details and then picks up to where you can't put it down ... Read More: |

| The reviews of this book overrated it by a long shot. Most of it dissects the personal conflicts between his close confidents and is of extremely limitted interest. The interesting conflicts, such as that of the bank, his fights with Congress, his Indian resettlement policy,and his views on slavery are basically superficial. His evaluations of Jackson are generalizations and are repeated ad naseum. | I saw some of this guy's video and was intrigued. Decided to buy the audio version and listen to it on my annual road trip to Texas. It was a great way to pass the time and have some deep thoughts. This great man will be missed. But at least his words will live forever. |
