| I have been working with film cameras for years but found the information in this book to be very helpful in adapting what I knew to my new digital equipment. I have recommended this book to friends and bought one for my brother-in-law who recently bought his first dslr. It should be the first digital photography book you buy.

| This book is worth the money. Kelby outlines how to do the things I want to do in LR2 step by step.
So far all the books I've read by Kelby are fantastic. I own his "The Digital Photography Book" Both 1 and 2. They are must have books if you are serious about getting great digital photos. Thanks for another great title Scott! |

| My workplace purchased a copy of Photoshop CS 4, and I purchased this book to help me learn it. Nowhere on the covers did it specify that there are two versions of Photoshop CS4, and that this book had material that was only applicable to the more expensive piece of software. It got very confusing when the author treated the software as if everyone had a single version.

| This book is a great resource with good content, but the shipping is unacceptable. I ordered this on December 9th and it has just now arrived 9the 30th). It took 21 DAYS for this to come in. Thats not 6-8 business days! Also, its in poor condition, like its used. There is rips and scratches on the cover, and some soiling of the pages. I don't mean its not usable, but its frustrating to order a new book and receive a used one. Two stars for the content, none for shipping or description accuracy. |

| I enjoy the Dummies series of books. This book has NOT helped. I find myself following the directions and then flipping through the pages to see where that final click takes place. There are too many, 'we will cover that on page #' or go to section __ to find out more about it...I would not buy this book. |

| I received this book for Christmas from my son and his wife. I had not yet received the Photoshop CS3 software, but ordered it on a day after Christmas on a special from Amazon.
I started reading Scott's book before the software arrived so I would have some heads up on processing the aircraft images I have been shooting with my Canon xsi camera. | Having studied three other books on creating and using Photoshop layers and masks - and finding them lacking - I stumbled upon this one when searching through Amazon's inventory. It was a revelation.
If you read this book and do the clearly illustrated and explained exercises, you will have a working knowledge of layers and masks (and various other postprocessing aids). No other book is needed. | This is a great book for getting exposed to most of the features of Photoshop. It really does not go into great detail but it does cover lots of features. The best thing for the novice is the step by step instructions. It comes with a cd containing the required photos and some video examples. |
