| As other reviewers have mentioned, this book relies heavily on fake meats and cheeses. However, that can be quite useful for someone like me. I'm a vegan for ethical reasons and somehow find it difficult to focus on preparing healthy food (despite owning tons of vegan cookbooks). This book is inspiring me to start cooking again. | This is the regular human beloved pharmacopoeia. I ordered from here after looking at the pictures and surmising the "veterinary" label is a mistake, and I did receive the normal edition.
I am an FP MD and have used these every day for years, since medstudenthood. Pocket version is best, better I think than Tarascon's other ancillary products. | Overall, I was disappointed by this book. I didn't feel that I really learned anything new. In fact, the "humor" seemed to get in the way of any intersting medical facts.
Also, one glaring error made me question the whole book: On page 168, the writers mistakenly write that "In "Pulp Fiction," John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson are trying to save Uma Thurman from a drug overdose . . ." Actually, Samuel L. Jackson was not anywhere in that scene. In fact, his character did not appear in almost any part ... | I have been researching health, especially on neurological level for quite some months. My research keeps coming back to the points made in this book.
I would say that the book could have added more details on how to rid your body of parasites and yeast in more details. It is mentioned but only briefly. Having parasites and yeast in your body will definitely affect how your body assimilates nutrition and regulates hormones and neurological chemicals, so do some research in ADDITION to this book. | I've been on the Atkins Diet for many years but after a number of moves I discovered that I no longer knew where my carbohydrate gram counter book was, so, I ordered a new one. Love it, love the size, it slips easily into my purse and goes where I go. It's been a great refresher course. It is not as complete as I might have liked it to be but so far I've not wanted to look up anything that wasn't there and the size is so handy. |

| After reading sugar blues I stopped eating sugar. It is difficult to do because sugar is everywhere but I spend time thinking about what I eat and try my best to ensure that it contains no sugar. I've gotten to the point now where I consider an orange junk food because of it's sugar content and limit my sweet fruit intake to no more the one piece every two days.
