| This is the first Lennon bio I've read (unless you want to count Shout!, but that included those 3 other guys...). Norman did a good job showing the good and bad. The man was no saint, but are any of us? Sorry, Yoko, but Norman was not "mean to John". If anything, for the first time ever, I actaully felt sympathy for Yoko, and that takes some doing.

| I found myself at Barnes & Noble today, as I do on most Sundays, just browsing. I headed over to the "music" section to see if they had any good instructional books for guitar or piano. I saw the cover for "The Heroin Diaries" and remembered a friend had mentioned it about a year ago. I picked it up, flipped through the magazine-like pages and read a few excerpts.

| The problems I had with this book. I have just finished reading it tonight. The first problem was it took up a lot of my time without me realising it. I could not put this book down. This book literally is the second book I have read from start to finish and I was absolutely mesmerised by it. If you like Slash, GNR and the rest of the guys then this is the book for you. | For any fan of The Clash this is a must. When it shows up it is very impressive. They left no stone unturned and has plenty from Joe Strummer even though he is no longer with us. You will be reading this book over and over. |

| I'm a fan. But why would you pay for this when you can easily obtain it for free? In order to make it worth paying for this, in my opinion, should have been combined with music for at least the key songs with accurate guitar notation, etc. A lot of trees died for this project... at least make it something useful and unique. |

| Many Clapton fans were really disappointed in this book because they (me, included) discovered their hero was not the good guy they assumed he was. It is shocking, indeed, to read page-after-page of Clapton describing his shallowness, selfishness and excesses regarding woman, alcohol and drugs. It's like he has this compulsion to tell us every sin he ever committed, so he can be forgiven. Either that, or he's just totally coming clean.

Before reading it, I knew of Motley Crue as a band, that had been around for a while and had lots of groupies and did drugs. That was pretty much my perception of them.
