| Enjoying the book. He has a lot of recipes. He is an advanced barbecue cook, but easy to follow. If you are looking for complete meals on the grill this is the book. |

| I've had this book for a few years now so I have had a chance to follow its recommendations and make many of the recipes in it. I'd give the book a below average score because you will really not learn much about smoking. They don't discuss the myriad of ways one can cook ribs and BBQ and there's an assumption everyone knows how to smoke. As for the recipes, they are average at best. | The book was well written and good color photos. My complaint is that for the average cook, this is way too fancy and not basic enough for my needs. If you like to be a gourmet cook it would serve your needs. |

| I'm an avid cookbook collector and reader and I never get tired of reading Raichlen; not to mention reproducing his recipes. I made the Tex-Mex Tequila-Jalapeno Wet Rub for a birthday party I was assisting with. I boiled the extra rub and served it on the side. Forget about seconds, try thirds and fourths. |
