| What makes Junie B. so endearing is that she actually talks like a real child. I too have reservations about the words "hate" and "stupid" being introduced to my 5 and 3-year-old. I just change the words as I read to "don't like" and "silly". Very easy and the effort is worth the sheer enjoyment my two girls get out of listening to the adventures of Junie B. | I was a little worried when my brother bought the first book for my then 6 year old (now 7 year old) son. It set on my sons book shelf for about a year as we read through other books he had. The about a month ago he asked me to read it with him. I was hooked, it is so easy to read and so entertaining that I had hardly noticed we had read for about an hour and finished the book. | Sure didn't seem like it was new.
Same old same old except for the incident with Angus. I just want something to happen in this series already. I'm mad that I ran out and spent nearly 20$ for this book and I could have just reread one of the other ones for Pete's sake! |

| I purchased 4 sets of Junie B Jones books for my daughter to read to her preschool age children. They really hold their interest and have encouraged the 5 year old to be excited about trying to learn to read by himself. |

| Here's my 9-year-old son's review:
I think this book is appropriate for kids, because it has funny stories about kids you don't see every day and kids who do strange but hilarious things. It's even more fun that the author uses himself as a character in the book - the yard teacher. He must have thought the book through really well, because it's full of interesting details. I read all three books in 5 evenings. |

| This is a cute book. It does have some interesting tactile choices. Very basic story line. Left my 2-year old son wondering what happened to the rest of the story. More appropriate for pre-verbal children. |

| Brilliant! Bought the whole set of 7 books for the kids (aged 8 & 10) and they loved them. The format is smaller than I remembered from my childhood but the kids didn't care. They read them over and over again. They also loved the Calvin and Hobbs books. |

Betty MacDonald is an authoress who can write to both adults and children with fine hilarity, and her character Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle makes Mary Poppins look like a moron.
