| We first saw this book in a kindermusik class this previous winter, and my two-year-old son seemed to enjoy when it was read aloud. We decided to order the book to help our son get into the habit of bedtime stories. Now this is his number one favorite book to have read at bedtime. Our son loves being able to interact with the lyrics as we sing. The book is very durable and has held up well to a lot of abuse. I couldn't recommend this book more. |

| My almost 5 year old son is learning to read rapidly, but there are so few books which he enjoys AND can read well. He was highly motivated to read Wheels, as he adores vehicles of all kinds. The format is very simple (1-2 short sentences per page)and includes plenty of long and short vowel words, as well as "oo" sounds and "igh" sounds. Hardly any words with 2 syllables. |

| We've borrowed this book from the library so many times, I gave in and finally bought our own copy. My 19 month old son loves this book and reads it several times a day. Its the first book he has actually taken a interest in. I like the fact it has real pictures of the machines instead of drawings and that it has few words -- perfect for the attention span of a toddler. |

| If you have a boy who loves building machines, this book is a definite must. There isn't a storyline in it - it's just full of building machines operated by Teddy bears, with descriptions of what they're doing, what the machines are used for, and how they actually work. They're cartoons, but it's so informative, that my little guy just loves knowing what all the machines do. He even knows what rebar is now! | When I worked for a day care center, this was one of my favorites to read to the toddlers. It was one of the children's favorites as well. They loved to repeat the rhythmic lines (and Bam! Bam! Bam! is easy for even a beginning talker to repeat). This book does a lot to engage young children visually as well with its bold and bright pictures, containing some of the most interesting illustrations in children's books.
