| Great introduction to these concepts for young kids. I had already explored the different states of water with my 6 year old, but it was nice to be able to reinforce that process. My son often said, "I already know that" for the basic concepts, but I felt that the specific examples of the different states of all types of matter were very helpful in getting him to understand that there's an order to the way things work. | Depicts and explains physics in a nice broken down simple way. So far I'm getting it as I go. No real retention; but that is my issue, not the books! I'm reading it nibble by nibble for my own enjoyment - but I think it would be a really helpful companion for students as it makes physics less intimidating. |

| There is something for everyone in this book. It can be difficult to find a non-fiction story, particularly an autobiography, told in a way that will fascinate the very young. This book does just that - but fascinates the more mature reader as well - including grade school students and adults. The story of Mr. Bentley is told in a very charming way with warm and pleasing pictures, and easy to read and follow text. You could learn quite a bit just by reading the story line. | I teach 5th grade and my students are in love with these books as well as The Periodic Table: Elements with Style. It makes it easy for them to understand. They borrow the books from me daily and it really triggers an interest in science for them. These books have been so successful in my classroom I pre-ordered the biology version coming out in September. I can't say enough good things about it/them. |

| I found this book to be extremely informative while explaining how magnet work in a way my 3 year old granddaughter understands while learning myself!!
The pictures are awsome, and keeps any age children's attention. All of the books in the Lets-Read-and-Find-Out Science series have been a valuable tool in teaching and entertaining in my home. |

| We are using this book with our Literature Study. The girls have enjoyed all of Thomas's creativity. We have also gotten to experiment with several of his projects. They are lot of fun! Great book to learn to be more creative in life. |

| Our high school children found this to be a great adjunct for their science education. It's well written and has great graphics, so it keeps the attention and informs well in the process. We homeschool and use more specific texts at this level, but it is still a great overview. |
