| After receiving the Thesaurus, we looked up several words, as a "test". Every word we looked up is in there! I actually ordered 3, one for each of my boys, who are 7, 9 and 11. GREAT BUY! |

| My children and I absolutely love this thesaurus! We didn't really use a thesaurus much until we started The Institute For Excellence in Writing student writing program. The only thesaurus we had was one I bought when I was in highschool. Most thesauruses don't help the children know which synonyms are good for their context or not. This one does an absolutley superb job! I am greatly impressed.
Now when we edit our work, we do it to everything not just writing class, and it is much more enjoyable. ... Read More: |

| I love the Scholastic Children's Dictionary however this thesaurus is not a compliment to that item. There are not enough synonyms offered for each word and there are not enough root words. Horrible. |

| Every school age child should have access to this book. The second graders I teach take turns looking up words for pleasure. |

| Okay, when using a Thesaurus - you quickly want to look up a word and get another word to use in its place, right?
YOU WILL NOT GET THAT WITH THIS VERSION. This one refers you to another word in the book, you go to the next word and it refers you yet again to another word. Very few words have what you will be looking for. WASTE OF MONEY - DO NOT BUY. You get tons of useless information, but that's about it.
