| My son was showing a lot of anger, and didn't want to talk about it. This book was a great way to approach the subject during a non-angry time. It's very helpful to get a third party involved so remotely. The book was written well for his age - some humor, comic book type pictures, and some ideas that my 8 year old found to be helpful. |

| This is probably one of the cutest explanations of the life cycle of a sugar maple I have ever read. The story is told in first-person for an adorable and up-close view of a tree story.
The pictures are one of the best aspects: cute, creative collages done in a wide variety of materials. I also appreciated the extra-sciency page at the back. Very handy book to have around. |

| I had to add my two cents here. I see all of these reviews from kids or people who bought the book for a kid. I am 25 and am collecting the entire series. These books are beautifully done, informational and just plain fun to read and look through. Anyone with interest in mythology, literature and history would adore this series. | The Truth: I'm a Girl, I'm Smart and I Know EverythingAnother great book from American Girl. This book really brings up so many of the 'sticky' situations that we all face growing up and also brings up lots of situations that thankfully we never face, but it is good to know what to do. For example, I certainly almost threw up in school and it was a real fear. On the other hand, I never was worried about a tornado, but still as a kid I would have enjoyed reading about how to protect myself.

| A great book for kids 5 and under, it covers the basic information kids need to know about how babies are made, okay/not okay touches and families. Its fun cartoon illustrations make it an engaging read for the preschool set.
I love the drawings of naked boys and girls that show how we are alike and different.
