| The content of these books is wonderful, as always with C.S. Lewis' works. Upon receipt of the product I was disappointed to find that 5 of the books in the set have "Now a Major Motion Picture" printed inside a bold yellow circle on the front cover.
This was not shown on any of the product images that I saw before I made my purchase, so it was an unexpected and unpleasant surprise when I opened the box. |

| Dungy's book is promoted to be for children ages 4-7, but I don't think you can put an age limit on its topic which is reminding readers (adults too) to trust in God and dream big. The book conveys an episode in a family with 4 children--2 brothers & 2 sisters. It seems all of the children know their dreams and talents except for Linden who is unsure about his talents or his dream for his life.

| I was so excited when I orginally read reviews about this book. My Daughter had out grown the toddler Bible story books and this look appeared perfect. Unfortunately, after I started reading it with her I soon found that the stories were not truely accurate to the Bible. The heart of the stories are there but the author embelishes the stories which when teaching a child is inappropriate.

| This 3rd in the Lost Books of History series is the best yet. Unexpected reverses and entrance into new worlds holds the reader's attention. Dekker never fails to give constant action and characters who touch the heart. Better buy 3 & 4 together, because you won't be able to wait for 4 after finishing 3! |

| This 4th & final chapter in the Lost books series is a surprise, to say the least. There is quite a jump to the "other earth" that provides humor and perhaps, just a bit of silliness to the otherwise intense book. Some of the challenges experienced by the Chosen are somewhat over-the-top in my mind, but I am not the 15 year old for whom this book is written. | The problem with this beginners Bible is how it represents God. Imagine, the story of Noah begins with God being "sad" because people didn't think of him (and so consequently flooding the earth). This makes God seem like a tyrant to a small child (imagine creating fear in a child re: thinking of God). The actual scripture says "the thoughts of man were only evil all of the time." | A great read, and quick. Get the whole series, it's that good. You don't have to read prequels first (The Circle Trilogy), and I appreciate that!
But, hey! you will probably want to read them after you're done, (Ted Dekker makes you curious enough) to enhance your understanding of one character, Thomas' prior history. We did! :) |

| I have to say that way i purchased this it was for a light read. Nothing too deep. I was mistaken. This book ties in at least 3 other books of his outside of the Black, Red, White. Be on the look out for those references. Great writing, very engaging. |

| First of all, this book is NOT on the recommended list of formation books that has been put out by the US Bishops even though it is widely used by many catholic schools. Even though its doctrine is sound, its approach to teaching our faith may be confusing to teens. It has a "we understand what it is like to be a teen" mentality. My teen is using it at school and is constantly uncomfortable by the insinuations in the book that a teen should be having a crisis in their faith at this age. This book presents the catholic faith as "just another suggestion." |
