| This book was perfect for our son who just turned 10 and was starting puberty. It answered every single question he may have wanted to ask us but was too embarrassed or afraid. I would recommend this book to every mother/parent who has a son & would recommend that you read it first. Some of the content will be a review for your son - other content will be new!! I am so glad I found this book- it really explained what was happening to his body. Everthing from pimples, shaving, jock itch, etc. |

| Both of my young sons love pirate stories and they took to this one quickly, although the book needed some parental editing.
Two problems: Jeremy Jacob takes off without telling his parents -- I reinforced with my kids that Jeremy shouldn't leave with the pirates without asking his mother or father. | I just want all parents out there to understand that while "sexually experimenting with other boys" (chapter nine) may be "normal", it can also easily be considered a CRIME for which your son can be prosecuted.

| Wonderful Book! Our family actually likes this one more than the preceeding book "How I Became A Pirate" also by the same author and illustrator.. This book will have the entire family talking like pirates...but with out swearing! =) My daughter requested this one night after night, she then could rectite it entirely by herself. She would pretend to "read" it to her younger sister. You will not be disappointed it this book! Our family of four loves it! "Ahoy there Jeremy Jacob!" |

| I thought this book was one of the best. It's not my most favorite book of the Alex Rider books but I still thought it was good. I liked how Horowitz used the CIA instead of the MI6, the MI6 was getting old. If you have read the other books, then I say you should read Skeleton Key along with the others that follow. If you like action and adventure books then I say you read the Alex Rider books (but start from the first book, Stormbreaker). This book is one of the weirder ones but its still good, sometimes weird is good.
