| What was the author thinking? I was willing to forgive a lot in this book (which was not as good as the previous ones) but everytime I had to read this ridiculous name I liked the book less and less. Although, given the fact that Bella is only supposed to be 18 perhaps it is in character.... |

| OK, so when I first heard about this book, I was skeptical. Vampires? Hmmm. For some strange reason I bought it anyway. I absolutely love this book and could not put it down. Anyone who is a sucker for a good romance story will as well. The book is extremely detailed and as you read you really get a sense of how the girl feels and, I think, it is quite realistic. | Rather than review the book, which I find to be generally outstanding and a satisfying end to the series, I'd instead like to review Jim Dale's reading of it.
This is my second "reading" of The Deathly Hallows, but my first foray into audiobooks. I thought it would be good filler during a road trip and beach vacation when I would be unable to actually pick up a book. Now home from that trip, I can't stop listening to it. | Can you believe that this is written by the same man who came up with Maximum Ride? That was the first James Patterson book I read, and every successive novel has been progressively more shoddy. The dialog in this book takes the cake. It Feels like I'm trying to read a poorly written fan-fic based on a B-movie. Avoid, unless you want a laugh (in the "so bad, it's good" sense.) |
