| I bought this book for my daughter - in paperback, hardback, coloring book, etc.! This was her all-time favorite book growing up and now I'm buying it for her newborn son! That makes me really think this is a book "for generations". |

| The first time I read this, I simply did not get it. But then I read it again with an open mind combined with my own fond memories of picking huckleberries in the Idaho mountains and soon was more acclimated to this charming little rhyme. The repetion of vowels is great for little ears and the pictures truly are wonderfully whimsical. I still don't get it, but it certainly is darling. |

| I do not yet have any kids of my own, but I was touched by the sweet message of maternal love in this book. The illustrations are gorgeous. |

| This book captivated my 2.5 month old as soon as he layed eyes on it. He was just kinda looking around when I placed it infront of him and the images immediately captivated his attention. My 2-year old also likes to "flash" the pages for his brother. It helps involve my toddler when I'm focusing on my newborn. There is definitely some neuro pathways forming when "reading" this book! |

| The paper version of this book was my brother's favorite when he was little. This was a real disappointment! There are not many pages. There is nothing interactive. And there is no surprise party in a big tree at the end. Add to that, the pictures are faint and not likely to hold up to washing. Save your money. Get the real Seuss version of this book when your child is older. |

| I must say, I truly do love the illustrations and artwork of Jan Brett. She is gifted in that area and I'm not going to argue that. What I will argue is that Jan Brett does a pretty darn good job telling a sweet story just through the beautiful images. The colors are bright and beautiful and that group of woodland creatures is just adorable. However... the story is not quite up to other retellings I have heard. Simply, the voice of the story does not match the illustrations and that makes for the biggest flaw. |

| Frankly, I can take it or leave it. My nieces love Clifford, so I've added a star to my review and gone with the "take it" option. And if you or your kids like Clifford, you can rest assured that the entire series is inexpensive.
The original book, at least, is simply written. That's something. |

| I was born and raised in another country, so I didn't grow up with this bunny, but I heard so much about it and was told it's a classic. I decided to purchase one for my son. I have to say it's a major disappointment because 1) it's poorly made that's not strong enough to sustain an infant's pulling, chewing, and abusing, 2) the sharp edge of the book always seems to hit my son's face (I'm afraid it will scratch his eyes one day...), 3) the fabric in the peek-a-boo page is very weak that it probably will come off in ... | Well, let me start by saying that the little Board Book is adorable, and the illustrations are artsy and well-done. The problem I had with this book is that it's title: Humpty Dumpty and Other Nursery Rhymes, gave me the impression that I would be receiving a book that contained the character of Humpty Dumpty. The nursery rhyme is included, but the illustration is of a small rodent, and in the background, if you look for a bit, there is an inanimate egg on a shelf in one of those little egg cups like you might get at ...
