| I loved the first two books, but this third installment is a true challenge to finish, and I don't mean because of the length! 150 pages in, I was amazed that so little had truly happened in the form of adventures. It reads more like a political debate and is very boring, not to mention long-winded. Needless to say, I will not be buying the 4th book. And I'm very glad this was a gift and I didn't spend my own $18 on it. Sorry Christopher! |

| When I knew this book was in the mail, I went back and re-read the first two in the trilogy. I loved this book. I think it is the best written of all three, and it brings the story to a very satisfying ending...while leaving one villian still out there for Funke to bring back later if she wants to!

| In my opinion, this book was amazing. There was so much adventure, and it had the right hint of love. I cannot wait until the next book comes out. It may be a while but I'm still very excited. |

| I've read that male writers tend to be more plot based and female writers more character based. Every time I read a book I've been noticing that this statement is true. Women writers portray more emotion in their characters and this is what makes them so interesting. Most of the Artemis Fowl books are plot based and this one is too, but there are more glimpses of internal conflict from Artemis in this book than the others. | Bought this for my 8 and 11 year old grandsons. They loved it, my daughter read it, is totally into the clues and is playing the game online. I also read it and enjoyed it. The kids are cute, instantly likable, though it took me awhile to get all the characters straight. My grandsons had read other of Rick Riordan's books and enjoyed this as well. We are looking looking forward to the next one. |

I purchase this book for my two year old grandson, he loves to hear his poppa read it to him. It is the only way I have found to get a two year old grandchild to set still for about 15 minutes. Love the book remember it from when I was a child. |
