| This book is great. I use it for homeschooling my children along with The Great Courses DVD course "Between the Rivers: Mesopotamia". It is easy to match each lecture and the page number that it correlates to in this DK book. As usual, the photography is fantastic. We watch one 30 minute lecture and read one part of the book each day and along with some extra discussions, crafts, and supplemental reading, we have a two month course on Ancient History in Mesopotamia that is top notch. |

| On page 74 Rev. Ishii infers that Sadako was the 14th death that year (1955) in her jr. high school. This is not correct. It may mean 14th in Hiroshima that year but that does not sound correct either. Sadako's brother confirmed she was not the 14th death in her school that year. |

| A most remarkable work. I've read several book about Lincol, but none have given a better personal and in depth of his intimate life. Gove Vidal's historic novel, Lincoln, give the historical picture, but in Eosteins book, we get a very close and intimate details of life in the 1850's. thus far never available.
I give great prise to Epstein for his remarkabel researh. The "quote" and the everyday accounts of Lincols and Mary's life together and apart.Quite a remarkable undertaking indeed. |
