| This is a wonderful novel. Moving yet funny, very real about a terrible time in history but, because of it's observations on the human condition, more warm than grim. My wife and I liked it so much we purchased 5 copies to give to friends. |

| I thought, after reading the description and some of the reviews, that at least there would be something positive to counteract Alexander's bad experiences throughout the day. The only trace of anything positive is at the very end of the book when it mentions that even in Australia some days are bad too.

| I was so excited when I orginally read reviews about this book. My Daughter had out grown the toddler Bible story books and this look appeared perfect. Unfortunately, after I started reading it with her I soon found that the stories were not truely accurate to the Bible. The heart of the stories are there but the author embelishes the stories which when teaching a child is inappropriate.

| The book Fever 1793 was about a girl who is sick and everybody else is sick as and she needs to help everybody. The girls name is Matilda, Father and Mother. Matilda is facing the fever to protect the citizens of 1793. This book took place in 1793.
The book 1793 is very recommended to everyone because it has lots of action and it shows passion. We learned that it takes that it takes pride and honor to help other people. |

| On the suggestion of a friend who has excellent taste in books, I bought this book for my eleven year old son, who's appetite for books exceeds what I can keep up with! It was so gripping that he sat up until two in the morning to finish the book. (I can sympathize; I've done that!) | At first I wasn't expecting much, I thought this book was going to be one of those books about the proper boring girls...but I was sadly mistaken. From India to London to the realms and back; not only is sixteen year old Gemma far from boring, she's not perfect, and she does whatever it takes to fix things, thats what I think makes her so interesting.
