| My 18-month-old loves to look at this this book over and over again. ("Gwa!") But I don't mind at all... "Good Night, Gorilla" is one of my favorites.
The pictures tell the story in this book; there are only a handful of words. I love the stunningly vivid and detailed illustrations. There are little surprises everywhere you look -- a stuffed Babar doll in the elephant's cage; a family picture of the zookeeper's wife holding the baby gorilla. | Bought this book for my grandson in Cincinnati and according to his dad, he loves it. He loves to go to the zoo and especially wants to see the Polar Bears, both before and after reading this book.......... |

| my 4 yr old loves this story, the illustrations are so cute, and the story moves along very well. it's great before bedtime since it's a happy ending and nothing scary or too adventurous to get their little minds wandering as they're supposed to be falling to sleep. my 7 yr old likes reading it to her little brother. |

| My father loved this book, and so he read it often to me. Now I read it often to my nieces. I love it all the more for the connection to my personal history.
This is a fun story (the illustrations, showing the children's reactions, are hysterical) about a critter who wants to live in the zoo, and to prove that he should he shows off all the tricks he and his spots can do. | I like this story for many reasons, including the rhyming sentences, the straightforward illustrations, the simple and gentle reminders from the teacher and the happy ending. I think my son likes it because zoo is one of his favourite place. |

| My 3 year old grandson was totally mesmerized by this book and enjoyed the humor. He seemed to identify with the little boy. I found it fun to read - seemed to flow from page to page. I know it will be a favorite. |
