I suggest this book to anyone who loves excitement. It is about a girl named Mary, the future Queen of Scotland. Mary leaves Scotland before becoming Queen and has to go to France because of her arranged marriage to Francis, the future King of France. This book is about her growing up in France and all her adventures there.

I love the book, Mary Queen of Scots!

A truly captivating book. I remember reading it over six years ago, and I still love it now. I've always been interested in the Tudors, and this was a gentle stepping stone for me when I was younger. Elizabeth speaks and behaves like a girl her age should, but you still get an immense sense of the lifestyle of the princess. This is a book that controls the stereotypes that are specified towards the Tudors, and is simply a good read. Most likely the best book in the Royal Diaries collection.

The theme of this book, in my opinion, is to tell the story of Anastasia Romanov, who, as the title states, was, "The Last Grand Duchess," of Russia. This book tells about the life of this young grand duchess, from a fictional standpoint. It portrays her from the time she was thirteen, until the time of her death at seventeen. It shows how palace life could have been dull and dismal, but how it could occasionally be fun and interesting.
The main character's name is, as the title states, Anastasia Romanov. From ... Read More:

This diary, about Catherine the Great, was enjoyable and exciting. It describes Catherine's family and her journey to meet her future husband. He doesn't quite meet up to her expectations, but they learn to enjoy each others company. Catherine's future as his wife looks good...until he gets smallpox.
I especially like the paintings at the back of the book, so I can see what the different people looked like. The extra information about Catherine's later life is also very good.

This is the life of a english teenager princess, who found herself send to be marry to a french king at fifteen. Her life, straggles in the new home and the court, is well written from her view point. Excellent for when your daughter complains of how hard her life is. It teaches history in a very refreshing way.

The theme of this book is showing how Jahanara and her family lived in the royal courts. It shows what restrictions they had, and some of the fun things they did. It also shows what we don't see on the surface, such as how the Empress would help the Emperor in making decisions, and how the younger children, and sometimes the older ones, would get in trouble. Shown is some of what we know, but additionally, some things that we, previously, had not known.
The main character's name, as expressed in the title, is Jahanara. She is a princess ... Read More:

Kazunomiya is a princess of Japan during the time when the emperor became a nominal power while the shogun retained all real control over the country. I knew very little about this time period, so it was a great introduction to it.

I have always been a fan of Dear America, and this book did not disappoint! I decided to read it last summer because I have been trying to read all the books I had not read when I was in middle and high school (I am currently in college). I ended up reading the book in one evening because every time I put it down, I came ... Read More:
