| This is an excellent book for introducing math and money to your child.
I like that the story teaches generosity when the child customers choose to leave their penny change for the next customer, but I also think parents should teach the value of saving pennies. Too often today, children will not even stoop down to pick up a penny on the street as if it is "not worth their time." | I like this book as an introduction to fractions. I use it with my kindergarten students. They can all relate to having to share with siblings or friends..... and they love the food fight at the end of the story! |

| A kid at a dunking booth seems to be a genius at guessing numbers. How does he do it? By asking questions carefully and comparing numbers down to guessing the correct answer. Pretty cool and something to think about! |

| This is a great book for children who know how to estimate and for those who are just learing. This book is filled with pictures and illistrations on how you would estimate wiht a many number of things. A thing that I liked about this book is that it just wasn't estimating how a many of cars or jellybeans, but it was also prices in a store window. | "Divide and Ride" is a great way to introduce your children/students to division. It has fabulous illustrations and written in a kid-friendly manner. Students can relate to the idea of going to an amusement park and/or carnival and they can start to see patterns as the book continues. |

| My 7 year-old, home schooled son loves elevators so much that we made one from a refrigerator box! He loves mechanics of all kinds, but was having difficulty with simple math concepts like addition and subtraction. I bought this book thinking it may have an elevator in it, but was surprised to see that Murphy related subtraction concepts to the story. | This book is quite cute from an entertainment perspective. Farmer Bill wakes up to a snowstorm one day to find that he is missing one of his mittens. When he goes to his barns, he discovers one by one, that each of his animals is missing a mitten (be prepared to explain what a cow's udder is for!).
