| Charlie has to look after his little sister and give her dinner. Unfortunately, Lola is a very picky eater, and we have to sit through the entire list of things she won't eat. ESPECIALLY not tomatoes.

| Lola and Charlie are among my favorites as a traveling nanny. I put them in my nanny bag and children like them so much I must often buy another copy as I have left them with the children!
The books have a gentle way of covering values and Charlie is the ideal model of a big brother. | I don't know if my son loves Charlie and Lola more than I do, we watch the show on Disney together and he can act out every motion and mimic every giggle. For the most part I think he thinks he's Lola, he is small and very funny... so... I bought the books to help sway him into reading more with me. My son is just 3 and has been diagnosed with autism, so his focus is a challenge, But when we sit down with Charlie and Lola, he immediately taregts in, he knows the books before we even open the covers. | The Charlie and Lola books actually authored by Lauren Child are far more charming and imaginative then the tv episodes in book form that have been churned out lately. My kids find them mostly forgettable, and keep turning back to the Child originals. The TV books are much less about Lola's highly active imagination, and more about everyday events. | My toddler and I enjoy the Charlie and Lola book series. This is one of our favorites. It has a nice lesson to teach which I don't think my two year old understands, but eventually he will. I enjoy the illustrations in the book. We refer to Charlie and Lola a lot in our home. |
