| MARLEY A DOG LIKE NO OTHER is a great book. I'm a teen, and almost anybody will love it. It's exciting but be sure to have a bunch of kleenex's with you too. I got it from my local library, and I liked it alot. I can't wait to see the movie coming out Christmas this year too.

| Solid construction, cute illustrations, fun textures for little ones to feel. My only complaint is that one of the puppy's shaggy ears get kind of poofy so the book won't close completely. Other than that though, great book. |

| The 5-star reviews for this book ignore the fact that Jan Brett's illustrations are Hollywoodesque and distracting from the classic poem itself. Betraying the golden rule -- If it isn't broken, don't fix it -- Brett inserts in to additional characters. Nearly a third of the book features two unnamed elves who play with the toys and generally cause havoc on the roof as Santa fills the stockings.

| This is my son's favorite book. I actually bought this for him before he was born as we have three dogs and the book was appealing to me. He is now 14 months old and he pulls this from his book collection and brings it over to me, says "Da-doo!", sits in my lap and starts turning the pages himself. His favorites parts to touch are the English Sheepdog and the Basset with the sticky tongue.

| This book takes place on a ranch in Texas. The characters are Hank, Drover, Loper, the coyotes, and Bruno. Hank is the boss for guarding the ranch at night. He watches out for the chickens. But Hank got sick of the ranch. He tries to find the kill of the chickens, but eats one of the dead ones instead. Then he went to live with the coyotes and still tries to find the chicken killers. | My 8 year old son actually went to bed early every night we read this book so that we could read 2 chapters. Sometimes kids books just don't hold the attention of parents, but I truly enjoyed sharing this story. I choked up and had to compose myself. What a great story. What amazing life lessons, I loved this book as much as my son did. A must read. |

| This book is so funny. I am amazed at how the writer can transport you to Texas within the first few pages! We lived there for 3 years and the actions and way in which the characters speak is classic Texan. We read it to our kids to give them a taste of what life on a ranch is like there. |

| On June l9, 2008 we euthanized 3 canine friends we had had for many years. Why all together? Two of the dogs were mother and son--the mother in advanced senility and other health issues and her son was completely paralyzed with hip displasia. Louie, the youngest, was dying with cancer. They came together as rescues and were close friends for many years. Thank you, Christine Davis, for this enchanting book. Thank you for letting us think that perhaps they are truly together and no longer in pain. |
