| I didn't grow up with English-language chidren literature classic books, so I was not thrilled with the book at first. My daughter was, and still is. We had The Very Hungry Caterpillar since she was about 3 months, and she keeps returning to it every two weeks or so. When she started to say more (at about 18 months), I realized that she knows the whole story by heart. I would make a pause in the story, and she would say the next word. | We bought this book to accompany the Butterfly Pavilion from amazon.com. This book was a little above her level of understanding, she is only 2 after all. She did get the gist of it. Great illustrations and concise. |

| This is great - from a worm's perspective giving children another point of view - opens their minds. It is funny and my grandchildren ages 5 and 6 love it. |

| My family is very fond of all of Julia Donaldson's books, but The Snail and the Whale is our very favorite. Axel Sheffler's illustrations are whimsical (My son has noticed that most of the insects he draws have noses)and beautiful. I am especially fond of its rhyming, making it a delight to read. | I heard on the radio that this book is the #1 best selling fiction book (including adult books) of all time. I remember reading it as a kid and now I read it to my son who is eight months. We began reading it at five months and he loves it! I take his hand and run it accross the little holes. I bought the toy seperatlly and he loves that too... |

| Good story with lots of clever bits to keep parents entertained too. But I enjoyed Cronin's Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type and Duck for President much more. |

| This is a fun book and an entertaining story. It's also a good way to teach multiple ways to add to a number and multiple ways to represent a number (2 groups of 25 are equal to 5 groups of 20, both represent 100.) Really awesome book for elementary math teachers. |

| This is another favorite Eric Carle book, with beautiful illustrations and an interesting chirping noise when you reach the end. It's a nice quiet read for bedtime. |
