| I thought, after reading the description and some of the reviews, that at least there would be something positive to counteract Alexander's bad experiences throughout the day. The only trace of anything positive is at the very end of the book when it mentions that even in Australia some days are bad too.

| This is an excellent book. It acknowledges how worried children feel and gives them tools to deal with those feelings while still validating that this isn't always an easy task. It is in language kids can understand but also also gives the non anxious person insight into what it is like to be anxious. It doesn't blame or judge but rather has an accepting tone. | This was quite helpful and informative for a book aimed at preteens, yet highly accessible and understandful. It offers great tips and advice, especially on dealing with feelings and seeing them in a healthy, real perspective. I even used this for an essay I had to write!

| I love the pictures in this book. They are clear and appealing to the toddler. The bad rhythm and rhyming structure, though, is jarring. In addition, the book focuses on failure a lot more than success. The baby keeps trying to go on the potty and things just don't work out for him. He finally does in the end, but I get the sense that it makes the process seem a little scary. |

| I love this series. We purchased this about 1 month ago and we are already on book 6. My son is very energetic and does not have a lot of patience. He did great on the first 2 books and then started to get bored and frustrated when he could not figure out the new words. I changed my teaching technique to where he would "teach" me how to sound out the word so I could learn new words. Since then, he has loved helping teach me to read.
