| After reading the first 11 books, I couldn't wait to find out how it was all going to end. For most part, I liked most of this book. It finds the group traveling to the fortress of the dwarves. | This book finds the quartet leaving Fairie land and walking straight into Ka Anor's territory. There they find the Greek god Dionysis and the very handsome and immortal Ganymeade as prisoners of the Hetwan. Both are on the menu for Ka Anor.They are able to help them escape and try to flee to Olympus where Dionysis claims he can make them all immortal. | I really loved where this series' entry took the concept of Merlin. As everyone knows, Merlin is pretty much the classic ringleader of all things fantasy and was thus a perfect addition, however small or large his role in the grand schemes of the story, to this series. Applegate gives us more fantastic exposure to the incredibly fun world she created and the readers continue to fall into infatuation with the various characters. | Most YA series are for girls. A few are almost gender neutral.
I recently finished #8 and am pleased the the character development over the arc of the series. We will see if the authors can maintain. The aliens are a bit weird. I wonder if they come from a fictional or movie tradition I am not aware of. |

| The group of five make it out of Egypt and to the ocean where they are passengers on a ship. The ship is destroyed by the bad tempered Neptune and the group finds themselves in an underwater city where there are air bubbles to breathe in and even when there are no air bubbles present they find they can breathe water. | This book is a bit different because it comes from Senna. I've been wondering why she is the way she is and this book helps explain it. I never really liked Senna and even with this book I still don't but I do feel a bit sorry for her. Here we meet the god of the alligators and travel on into Egypt to find Senna's mother. We find that she isn't much different than Senna herself. We also find out some of the plans Senna has in store including what she is rallying over in the real world. | This is book 11 in the Everworld series. I think I like this one the best so far. They've all been great though. This one starts out with Christopher in the mouth of a giant. He is able to escape with much struggle and is helped by a half elf/half human lady named Etain. They are taken to her town which is much like Ireland. Here they find that they have discovered primal forms of technology. Like electricity, cable cars, telegraphs, etc. Christopher soon falls in love with Etain. | Well in the second book of Everworld, Christopher is the narrator. Him, as well as David, April, and Jalil, are pretending to be minstrels because they ran into some vikings. | This books finds the four making it out of Hetwan country and getting to Olympus. There they are pampered with wonderfully soft beds, all the food they can eat and being waited on hand and foot. What more could they possibly want?!? Deep down they know they need to still stop Ka Anor or there will be no more Olympus. | I would have to say that so far, this is my favorite book out of the Everworld series (I still have 8 more to go). April, Jalil, David and Christopher have escaped Loki only to be in a never ending forest with not much to eat or drink. They finally come to what looks like a town and the smell of baking bread drives them closer to it. They find that it is more a prison than a town. Mostly everyone in town in male and terrified of "she". Who is this she and why is everyone so scared of her? |
