| This story picks up where Book Of Reality (Diadem Worlds of Magic) left off. Pixel's mind is trapped in the recesses of his brain; taken over by Nantor, one of the former Three Who Rule. In trying to help Pixel Score finds himself in danger from two people they trust. So Helaine and Jenna must find ways to help their friends and the whole Diadem. | John Peel does an excellent job of developing his characters, Score, Helaine, and Pixel as they make way their through the magical of Rawn. They are in search of the female wizard Shanara, the only person who can get them off this magical world. But as they battle goblins, trolls, other monsters, Shanara may already be with them, for she can become whoever, or whatever she wishes. An excellent story. |

| Helaine is having trouble getting along with Jenna, the new member of the team, and it's driving Pixel and Score crazy. Oracle suggests they take a vacation on Brine, a world that is almost entirely covered by water. But when they arrive they find themselves in a battle for their lives against pirates. This book shows the relationship between Helaine and Score growing. | Score, Helaine, and Pixel travel to the planet Dondar. They help a herd unicorns of defeat the most powerful wizard of the planet, only to find their troubles are just beginning. I have read several of John Peel's books, and I think this is the best one. It's a real page turner. I wish I could give it six stars. |

Ordin is a medieval world and they arrive to find her father's castle surrounded by armies preparing to lay siege to it. When they arrive Smoke saves a young magic user named Jenna from being stoned for being a witch. He brings her to the group. | Thunder the leader of the unicorn herd is defeated in combat, and banned from the herd, along with his wife Nova. But his opponent used poison to win the battle, and it is up to Helaine, Pixel, and Score to help Thunder get back his rightful place as the leader of the unicorn herd. The twists and turns that follow make this fourth book of the Diadem series well worth the read. |

It's a place where a person's nightmares and fears become reality, and to fall asleep means certain death. John Peel adds some new twists into this installment in the Diadem series by adding some elements of horror with a little science fiction thrown in. Very well done. |
