Books : The Starfleet Academy Entrance Exam: Tantalizing Trivia from Classic Star Trek to Star Trek: Voyager
Even though I've only been watching Star Trek for about three years, (considering I'm only twelve) I did well on most of the questions. I thought the book was very entertaining, a must-have for any Star Trek fan!!!!

Books : Worf's First Adventure (Star Trek: The Next Generation - Starfleet Academy #1)
I didn't expect much from this book, since it was aimed at young readers, but decided to buy it anyway since it was written by Peter David (one of my favorite authors).

Gene Roddenberry used each episode of Star Trek to tell a morality tale, and Peter David followed that same path. He did not "dumb down" the story just to please his youth market. Instead we find a story that tackles issues of race, prejudice, distrust of the enemy, and even a little sibling rivalry. This story ... Read More:

Books : Lifeline (Star Trek Voyager: Starfleet Academy No. 1)
"Lifeline" is the first starfleet academy novel about Janeway.

The characterization is good, but there is virtually no story in this one. It is too much of a description about teenage-student life and serious storytelling is missing.

It's worth a read, especially if you like Janeway. After all, it gives us some bacround information about Janeway's first days in the academy, but it's nothing nearly as good as it perhaps might have been.

The second of the young-adult oriented Starfleet Academy series focuses on a young Worf, first Klingon to join Starfleet. After surviving the first semester of his stay at Starfleet Academy with only a few bruises to his ego, Worf and his group of friends are chosen to help an ailing Federation/Klingon colony world. Worf struggles with his mixed heritage (Klingon raised by human parents) as he encounters Klingons of his own age for the first time.

Don't let the fact that it's a young ... Read More:

This book, about the early adventures of Worf (Now commander Worf at DS9) Was okay. It was firstly too short, and it was slightly boring. However the characters are well written, especially the characters of Worf, Soleta and Kebron. Also, the illustrations inside that book are very good. On the whole this book was not that good, And only trek fans, who want to know a bit more about Worf should read it.

This is actually one of the more interesting books for younger readers. The other Data books weren't that good.

Beverly Crusher is my absolute favorite sci-fi character of all time and this book doesn't let me down! I loved getting a glimpse into Beverly's heart and mind, especially when she was young. She is one of the most courageous women I know and I love how she helps Claire out. Claire is lucky to have a friend like her. Also touching is Beverly's feelings of being homesick and missing her dear grandmother. Beverly reminds me of Mary Anne Spier from the Baby-Sitters' Club series. Both are shy, ... Read More:

This book is well written but it has one problem. The action in the book takes place in a simulator. I had already had enough of this when Peter David wrote Worf's First Adventure. Somehow it isn't as fun or exciting if you know the battle isn't real.

9.Secret of the Lizard People (Star Trek, The Next Generation: Starfleet Academy No. 7) (Star Trek: the Next Generation: Starfleet Academy) by: Michael Jan Friedman

Books : Quarantine (Star Trek Voyager: Starfleet Academy No. 3)
This was a good book that did good job in the field of characterization and decent one at the field of plotting.

It was however much too short.

Fortunately, the author who however held the book well in order, as she described the layers of Janeway's character with the help of an unoriginal, but well executed plot.

If you like Janeway ,and even if for some uncompehendable reason you dont; read it.
