| I bought this book for my 2-year-old son and he loves it. He is into trucks and cars and wouldn't put this down. He now knows about all kinds of trucks. There isn't much of a story. He just likes looking at and saying all of the different trucks (such as a flatbed trailer). |

| This book is very small. That makes it nice to carry around, but hard to see the little drawings on the pages. Our 15 month old daughter doesn't understand all the crazy cars (pickle car, toothpaste car, etc.), we have a good time reading it occasionally. If you're interested in a Richard Scary book, I would recommend a larger book with more going on on each page. My nephew has a huge one that he loves to stare at. |

| I bought this for my 4 year old and she absolutely loves it! It is really great for kids who have a million questions about how things work and it does a phenomenal job of explaining a typical process (e.g., building a house) from end to end (including laying sewage and water pipes underneath the ground). It gives the details that curious kids really want to know in a fun, darling way. |

| I love these books by Richard Scarry. I bought them when my children were small, and I bought this one for my 5 month old grandson. Even though he doesn't understand the words and pictures, he loves the colors, and there is so much to look at that they really entertain him. The other day he was kind of cranky so I sat in the rocker with him and read two of the books. | I used to spend HOURS just looking through the book at all the illustrations. The stories didn't always grab me, but the pictures did. There was SO much going on. I remember especialy the picture of the castle with the moat and all the mice. Man hours and hours of fun! Now, at 35, I have my first son. I bought this book 5 years ago "just in case." Looks like I get to watch him have fun with it too! |

| well, as the title of the book suggests, this is a book about good manners, being polite and what not.
My 2 year old girl likes it already, although I think it would be even better for older children, they could follow more easily the stories with their favourite characters from Richard Scarry (great drawings!!!). There are 7 short stories, each of them dealing with a particular topic: how to behave at parties, or with your parents asking for help, or in the street, or with neighbors. all of them ... | I think this is a Richard Scarry Jr book rather than the dad, but it's still classic Scarry, charming and enjoyable. It's no Cars and Trucks or Busy Busy World, nor is it designed to educate your child about firefighters or fire stations, but it's a quick, cute and enjoyable read. |

| I bought this book in preparation for my 2 year old son's first plane ride to grandma's house. We have several Richard Scarry books, so he is used to the chaotic array of images, and this is the book that he goes to several times a day...asking for the plane book.
He picks out new things every time and I often find him sitting on the floor with this book open all on his own. He has started talking about "plane to gramma's" pointing at the same plane every time. He then walks over and points to a picture ... Read More: |

| Mr Scarry was my children's favorite author. Again, as I read Richard Scarry's books to my grandchildren they loved every character. There was a clear cut character trait and lesson on life to be learned. I bought this book expecting to find my friend Richard Scarry but, this did not even sound like his other books. I was very disappointed. Will I buy another Richard Scarry book. Probably not. |
