| I didn't grow up with English-language chidren literature classic books, so I was not thrilled with the book at first. My daughter was, and still is. We had The Very Hungry Caterpillar since she was about 3 months, and she keeps returning to it every two weeks or so. When she started to say more (at about 18 months), I realized that she knows the whole story by heart. I would make a pause in the story, and she would say the next word. | I started reading this book to my son when he was 12 months old and since then he has always loved reading it. The words are flowy and interesting enough to capture his attention. A definate must have in a toddlers bookshelf! |

| If you have a two year old at your house these books are a wonderful addition to your library. Our grandson was entranced by these books, which I enjoyed reading to him. He continues to ask for the "bear" book over and over and will actually sit in my lap for an entire reading. He has also learned more about colors and animals through these little books that he can hold while I read. |

| Bought this book for my grandson in Cincinnati and according to his dad, he loves it. He loves to go to the zoo and especially wants to see the Polar Bears, both before and after reading this book.......... |

| I really liked this children's book. The illustrations were very peculiar and different, as was the organization of the book. The pages going from smaller to bigger in the middle and the words on the pages also changing in size, getting progressively larger is definitely a different touch. I especially liked how the shape of the whale's tail was a page in itself towards the end. There was also a clock on each page reinforcing the time mentioned and the concept of it. | My 18 month old son loves this book! He watched me do the movements as I read it and now he does them on his own when I read the book! Very cute and interactive. |

| I heard on the radio that this book is the #1 best selling fiction book (including adult books) of all time. I remember reading it as a kid and now I read it to my son who is eight months. We began reading it at five months and he loves it! I take his hand and run it accross the little holes. I bought the toy seperatlly and he loves that too... |
