| A few years ago my little sisters kept going on and on about this book, which they were reading for some English class or another. The book must have been introduced into the high school curriculum after my time. Finally, last week, whilst going through one sister's room, we stumbled upon her old copy ad I thought "hey, my sisters loved this book. Why not give it a try?"

| We first saw this book in a kindermusik class this previous winter, and my two-year-old son seemed to enjoy when it was read aloud. We decided to order the book to help our son get into the habit of bedtime stories. Now this is his number one favorite book to have read at bedtime. Our son loves being able to interact with the lyrics as we sing. The book is very durable and has held up well to a lot of abuse. I couldn't recommend this book more. |

I read this to my classes every year when we are learning about letter writing. It is a powerful novel that kids can relate to. |

| I loved this book as a child and now my 2 year old loves it too. This book tells the story of Harry, who hates baths. He hates them so much that he buries his brush and (temporarily) runs away from home. He plays and gets so dirty that his family thinks he is a different dog entirely. The story is sweet and simple enough for my 2 year old to enjoy, but not so simple that it's boring or babyish. |

| Gene Zion's Harry books are all classics, including this one. I greatly appreciate clever stories for young children. The illustrations are good as well. Books like this should make every child a reader. |

| The pictures in this book are very nice. My 5-year old loves to hear it as a story before going to sleep. The ending of the story is also suitable for this age, since Rumpelstiltskin ends up flying out the window, instead of something more tragic happening to him. |
