| I keep this book around to read occasionally. My edition has a printing history going back to 1954. | I was given this book several years ago. It has a definite goal, to twist your ideas about God and His desire for a relationship with you.
It should be more acurately titled the "Warren drive life". It employes much scripture twisting by cherry picking from multiple translations as and when it suits and by calling the message commentary a "Bible". | I purchased this for my granddaughter because my daughter wanted to read it to her! So, I think I bought it for both of them.
All my children were raised on this and the other classic Dr. Seuss books. It's a fun thing to read for young and old. It gets the giggles going at bed time and beyond. What more can I say? It's a children's classic written in true Dr. Seuss style! |

| An intriguing and thought provoking read. This book is more than just a biography or epilogue on the life of Chris McCandless. The author does a great job of tracing the last 2 years of McCandless' life while also setting other examples of man vs. wild at counterpoint.

| Times have changed. Little kids left home alone and shouldn't they have been told by their parents not to let anyone in?
This is the book that must of led to a lot of wild house parties and may have spawned many party while your parents are away flicks (Risky Business, etc). A good fun read with a lilting cadence! |

| Yes, it is obvious that it hasn't been edited but that doesn't detract from the beauty. Language is wound like ribbons, outlining the pictures of the characters, framing them and revealing them slowly.
The desperation, fear and transient nature of the characters fall off the page, revealing a landscape littered with the machinations of war.
