Books : Clash of the Sky Galleons (Edge Chronicles)
This book is a great addition to the expanding series that is the Edge Chronicles. It gives the reader a lot more information about the work performed in Undertown, as well as about Sky Pirates. I would definitely recommend this book to people who love fantasy, and also to those who are fans of Harry Potter and looking for another series to fall in love with. The story is very well written and the illustrations are fantastic. This book definitely met my expectations.

Books : Stormchaser, Edge Chronicles Book 2 (Edge Chronicles)
You probably do not need to read Beyond the Deepwoods first, but I would recommend it. The story doesn't skip a beat as it transitions from book 1 to book 2, but any references to the earlier story are well explained. Stormchaser featured the same beautiful drawings by Chris Riddell and was equally as easy to read. I enjoyed book 2 a little more because it seemed that it was written for a slightly older audience, but I still feel that The Edge Chronicles is written for readers younger than "Harry Potter" ... I bought this book to read to my 5 year old son. He loved the book, and promptly asked me to order the next in the series.

The wonderful pen and ink illustrations, strange beasts, humor, and action make for a great read aloud experience.

The series is perfect for any child who loves imaginative stories and strange places.

Books : The Curse of the Gloamglozer, Edge Chronicles Book 4 (Edge Chronicles)
While quite entertaining for the most part, it's hardly mindblowing young adult fantasy. Quite frankly I'm most impressed with the design of the books over anything else. However it's a quick read, and if you've read the first three books, it's fun to see how Twig's parents met.

Books : The Last of the Sky Pirates, Edge Chronicles Book 5 (Edge Chronicles)
In the fifth installment of the Edge Chronicles, The Last of the Sky Pirates, the story continues with Rook Barkwater, a librarian. Chosen for a quest by the librarian knights, he must travel across the land to reach his goal, along with two other companions. I found the sudden shift of characters both abrupt and irritating. I had been looking forward to Twig's future, but instead Stewart brought about Twig's downfall and started a new character. Though I found this sequel disappointing, the plot does seem to have the usual "dose" ... Read More:

Well then we have something in common! Do you like books laid out like a videogame, with little story and each chapter seeming like its a new level? Neither do I! This book is all about Twig trying to find his old crew. Each time he finds one, the level is over. It's laid out way to simply. However, there is a nice touch at the end where Twig reunites with his woodtroll family for a short period of time. It sucks overall though.

Fergus Crane is an adventure. It was an adventure that I wanted to be in! This book was like a movie! When the author talked about hot chocalate I could literally taste the food and breakfast items. This was an experiance that I had never thought of trying. This was an amazing observation that I have told myself to keep on my mind for every book I read. So now I know that I have picked up a process and reading skill. This is the coolest thing in the world because my teacher told me this will increase my reading level and bring me closer to my next grade!Far-Flung ... Read More:
