Garth Nix has captured the attention of my sons and made reading something they actually want to do. I catch my ten year old hiding under his covers at night with a book-light to finish these books. Any book that captures the attention of boys in this video game age is my hero.

To me, this book requires some imagination and patience. I could not just breeze through the Prologue and other parts of the book without having to go back and reread some parts. But once I got into the beginning and reading about Arthur, the hesitant hero, the book grew on me.

I found it was quite easy to visualize the main character's adventures when he was on Earth in the beginning, but when the book shifted to the other world..I kind of got confused again. But I did not give up reading the book. ... Read More:

I'm currently reading Sir Thursday, and I have read Drowned Wednesday a long long time ago. But even so, I still remember what happened in the book quite clearly. I don't really remember Tuesday at all! Drowned Wednesday was memorable because it was innovative and fun. This whole serious is pretty good.

Sir Thursday was an interesting book. You will have to read the previous three books to enjoy it thoroughly. Keys to the Kingdom is a fantasy series, a very good one. The book starts off at a council of war between Dame Primus, Arthur and all of his subjects. When they are interrupted and Arthur is drafted into Thursday's army. He has to go! Here he is trained and finds out he has a new enemy while he looks for the will and Key. Over the entire book impressed me. I wish the author would have given more information on Saturday and Sunday, but the ... Read More:

Grim Tuesday was a good read for me. In the beginning, it starts off on Earth, and Grim's Grotesques are affecting the world around Arthur. Houses were sold, including Arthur's own home. His family was in financial trouble, as well.

Eventually, it becomes darker with Arthur being in the pit, and then when he begins on a journey on a ship that looks like a turtle, his journey isn't so dark. I found the second half of the book was a better read, more interesting. I like the fact there wasn't really a drawn out fighting scene between Grim ... Read More:
