| Wonderful Book! Our family actually likes this one more than the preceeding book "How I Became A Pirate" also by the same author and illustrator.. This book will have the entire family talking like pirates...but with out swearing! =) My daughter requested this one night after night, she then could rectite it entirely by herself. She would pretend to "read" it to her younger sister. You will not be disappointed it this book! Our family of four loves it! "Ahoy there Jeremy Jacob!" |

| I had a bit of trouble with this book at first. It's written in verse, which is not my favorite style. But once I got used to it, I found it to be an very effective technique. The uneven rhythm and stark language help to underscore the tension inherent in the story between those who are able to see beyond the walls of the projects and those who have a harder time of it. |

| I find this book to be inappropriate for the age level listed (ages 4-8). Not only do Ivy and Bean speak very disrespectfully toward and disobey their parents, but, most offensive of all, they take the Lord's name in vain. I have three children ages 4-8. I do not feel they are old enough to recognize they should not imitate the actions and words of Ivy and Bean. |

| I've got a 2 yr old that just thinks hide & seek is the greatest game ever. She was also already a fan of the Five Little Monkeys from the Jumping on the Bed song & (of course) the book. We checked this out at the library and it's been a huge hit. I've had to read it about 16 times in the last 3 days. Of course, I'm now here to buy our own copy! Great, colorful illustrations and cute, repetitive rhymes really hold my daughter's attention. She's even started saying "I see some fingers..." etc when we play hide & seek. ... Read More: |

| This third in the Baby Sitters Club (BSC) series of graphic novels is my favorite so far. Raina's drawings seem more detailed and lively in each successive book. I've been buying the BSC graphic novels for my niece who is finding real inspiration in the artwork while simply enjoying Ann Martin's time-honored stories, and I heartily recommend this series both for the clean, yet engaging stories, as well as the excellent graphics.
