| my sister had me get "Dog Heaven" before we put our 15 year old dog to sleep, and I loved it so much, I got this one for a dear friend who lost her beloved cat. |

| I purchased this for two young friends, boys: 6 and 10
This book was way too immature for the ten year old and even the six year old lost interest in it. I purchased other books on the subject of losing a pet to death that the kids read with more interest. I would recommend this only for children under five. |

| Although this is one of the most "simple" books I own, I enjoy it so much that I bought several more copies. I give them away to special friends who I believe will "understand" the theme.
This one is a "keeper" for me. |

| My son (a 1st grader) does not like to talk about emotional issues. When our beloved dog died, he didn't say anything about it for 24 hours. The next day I read him this book and we both began crying mid-way through. The lovely story enabled my son to open up and talk about the grief he was feeling. I like the message that we keep the memory of deceased loved ones in our hearts and memories. |

| It is hard to get through a book when everyone around keeps asking, "What are you laughing at?" So the best thing is....on a cloudy Saturday curl up on the couch and read this book(s) out loud to the kids. All my boys, 4-16 loved this book and can't wait till the next one comes out. |
