| Okay...so this seems alittle different than your typical Alex Cross novel. He does seem alittle character in this novel, but dont we all change alittle throughout our lives. It is a different Alex Cross, but I can believe it. It is also a nice change from the run of the mill serial killer type story even though it does get alittle out there. | The Sookie Stackhouse novels are a lot of fun. Her characters are all good and I look forward to each new book in the series. The HBO series started out fine. Then it quickly headed not only for left field but took a flying leap right out of the stadium. By the end of the first episode I had a feeling things were going to diverge radically from the books. | Adiga's "White Tiger" is compelling and extremely well-written. For some reason, I had a hard time getting involved at first, but the quality of the prose eventually pulled me in. I blame the initial hurdle on myself rather than on Adiga, however, as this isn't normally the type of book I read. In fact, I bumped my initial four-star review up to five, because I was won over despite my own reluctance. | I got hooked on True Blood on HBO and decided I needed a little more background from Charlaine Harris. The book is great. Written as a young woman would speak and very imaginative and descriptive.
I enjoyed all the twists and turns and would even consider becoming a Fang Banger if given the chance!! |

| I'm concerned and enthralled. I'm sadden that her love life keeps falling apart. I want her to be with Bill. How many times in life are we left without closure. I love the books so much that I was happy that i got sick and had to stay home from work. I read all the books in 4 days. It just cannot keep going on with her meeting the next guy. Bill loves her in a way that Eric (who i adore) cannot. Bill should be the one. | I'm not really sure how to write this review. This was an ok book. Just ok. It was kinda a letdown for me after reading her first two books in the series. Sookie is again on the road in Mississippi this time. She was out of her element which could be good in some ways, but I think in this book it was bad. I just felt that a lot of the book didn't flow and wasn't reality based. Yes, I know that vampires aren't real so you have to suspend some thinking but come on...do you really think that little Sookie is going to go in and beat up on vampires.
