| I guess I did not read the description carefully, because I assumed the CD came with the books to look at while listening. So after it arrived, I ordered all the books as well.
As for the CD, I think the reader presents the story a little to quickly for very young listeners, not giving them enough time to contemplate the thoughts presented in the dialog. I would prefer she read it slower. Her voice is a bit raspy, and she does not sing the songs, instead recites them as a poem. I guess I am ... Read More: |

| This is one of my favorite books of all time! It's a beautiful story. The plot and characters are amazing! You feel like the author is really talking to you. She tells you things and you know she is because she says "Dear reader" when telling you something. At one point in the story she tells you to look a word up in the dictionary because she knows you might not know what it means. | As much as I enjoy audio books I'll admit that my initial reaction to this one wasn't overly enthusiastic. The first in this series was written forty-some years ago, and has captivated generations. It has been reprinted almost countless times in a variety of editions. The Bear stories are known and loved by millions.

| I absolutely love this CD. My children are 2 and 4 yrs, and they ask for it every day on our commute. The voices of the narrators are absolutely perfect, (there's just something about hearing "John Boy" from the Waltons tell you a story...Richard Thomas is one of the narrators:).
And I would like to find more work from Christine Ebersole, she is so fabulous, especially the last story, 'Lilly's Big Day'. She captures the voice of a sweet, desperate girl longing to be a flower girl so perfectly, I almost got choked up near ... Read More: |

| Little Bear is a favorite TV show for some of my grandchildren. This CD lets them enjoy the stories when they are in the car, or just to listen to the CD at bedtime. The reader has a wonderful voice and it is very soothing and relaxing to fall asleep while listening. I recommend this CD for children from ages 3 to 10. |

| We chanced upon the Rabbit Ears series when my cousin came to town for a visit. What a wonderful treat for our granddaughters. Kipling has always been a favorite of mine, and it was fun to share him. The recordings are quite good, and they easily held the interest of various cousins ranging from 3 to 11 years old ( even the very cool 14 year old was listening).
