La Linea has opened my eyes to the hardships and horrific sacrifices that emmigrants must go through to escape destitution when they cross the borders of the United States. The Mexican people come to America full of hopes and dreams - hopes and dreams that we as Americans often take for granted. This story has truly inspired me to be more compassionate for the emmigrants that I meet in this country, especially the children that I work with in my school. I highly recommend this book.

The Maze is one of the gretest books I have ever read. This book is all about doing something wrong and not running away from it. In the story a boy learns how to fly, this makes a really good story line because anyone who would like toread this book would link to fly. I rated this book a four out of five because in the book a boy goes to jail and since I have have never been to jail it would be hard to relate to something like that.Anyone who like to read a book about advertures, flying with a gider, ... As a teacher, I find this book very useful. I teach basic English at a public high school, and I read this book with my sophomores every year.

Although it is certainly not great literature, and it is not likely to be remembered fifty years from now, Will Hobbs is a talented writer whose strengths include creating interesting characters with depth, using imagery to bring readers into the setting, and using foreshadowing as a tool to generate interest and suspense.

Even readers who say they don't ... Read More:

I bought this book for my 9 year old son. I like to read what my children read so we can discuss what they have read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and my son did too. I have a hard time finding books besides Harry Potter (which we love) to interest him. This is a really good adventure story for the 9-14 crowd.

Popular author for young adults, Will Hobbs, has written another great adventure story for upper elementary/middle school kids. This one, set in South Dakota's Black Hills, includes astrobiology, biology, geology, fishing, caving, biking, friends and family--to the extreme. It's a fun, captivating read with some amazing lessons sneaked in.

The Big Wonder took me back to a more innocent time, when me and my sister's would lie out on the cool grass in the evenings and listen to KOMA from Oklahoma City. I especially enjoyed the little bit of romance the story holds, as well as it's suprizing characters, such as Curly, the Burro, and Uncle Clay. This is certainly a book for all ages.

A half Ute , half Navajo is wild and alone.
School has failed and his relatives are failing him.
He just in time finds an old man to father him.
It is a rough story and the boy who calls himself lone bear
because of a blue stone he found in an burial cave of the ancient ones.
A story or redemption and friendship that grows to love.
Very well written and with mining and hunting,
besides horses and ranching.
