| This is a huge workbook! It has a lot of review. After initially covering a part of grammar: preposition, noun, pronoun, adjective, adverb, conjunction, interjection, the student is then given a lot of practice.

| I have just recently began using this workbook for two Deaf high school students who were having an impossible time learning to read and write English.Obviously, they can not know that something 'sounds'wrong like people who can hear do, so they are really dependent on learning the rules of the English language and being able to rely on the memorization of those rules. | I taught 4th grade in a Christian school for 10 years. After trying several grammar programs (including ABeka and Bob Jones), I finally settled on Easy Grammar. It became my all-time favorite, and I plan to use it with my own children as we homeschool now.

| As a homeschooling granny, I have tried many sources (Our Mother Tongue, Complete Book of Grammar & Punctuation, First Language Lessons for the Well Trained Mind and Painless Grammar) to name only a few. This book is tops, though it starts with prepositions as a teacher or student you can decide where to begin.

The Easy Grammar method takes a "different" approach, but once you allow it to sink in and shake off all your "old school" notions of "how" you learned grammar in the past, you get it!

| I purchased this book for homeschooling my 6th grader. I love the unique approach to focus on the prepositional phrase in the sentence. My child enjoys working on it. A lot of drill works, but by the time when students finish this book, they will have a very solid understanding on English grammar.
Must buy the "teacher's guidebook" with this workbook. It gives the instructional guide and the answer keys. |
