| I have only recently started into graphic novels, but out of the ones I have read I would rate the batmans from best to least favorite as follows:
1)Dark Knight Returns 2)Long Halloween 3)Killing Joke 4)Dark Victory 5)Batman: Year One Long Halloween has a great story (which continues in Dark Victory), great art style, and is just fun to read. Highly recommended. |

| Dark Victory expands upon The Long Halloween, and has a story interesting enough to please fans of Loeb's original Batman-mob story. Robin isn't played heavily, which is a good thing for me, but any Batman fans should pick this up. |

| Just like Loeb/Sale's "Batman: Long Halloween" and "Batman: Dark Victory", "Batman: Haunted Knight" is another holiday themed graphic novel. It is a trio of short stories which are nothing short of amazing. In the first story, Scarecrow is prowling about Gotham on Halloween night. The second story is based around the Mad Hatter and his obsession with Lewis Carrol's "Alice and Wonderland". | All I have to say is i love the series and had to buy the book. The book was really amazing. You may basically know whats going on because the book came out after season 1 basically...but it does take you behind the show. Gives you a lot more info that isn't seen on the TV show. I dont want to give out too many details...but all Im saying is, if you love the TV series...you MUST get this graphic novel...you wont be disappointed, I guarentee! |

| This book retells how Superman first encounters Kryptonite (his only weakness) according to the old classic Superman comics. Some characters and parts of the story are changed somewhat because the author felt the original story is a little bit too far-fetched and unbelieveable. Unfortunately, the new story does not really create a more believeable account and is pretty "out there" compare to most Superman stories. | This is a bookend (or rather a filler?) to Loeb and Sale's The Long Halloween and Dark Victory. When Catwoman disappears partway through Dark Victory, she goes to Rome to do some "research." She is accompanied by The Riddler, and receives assistance from an Italian hitman known as The Blonde (guess why?). While there, she discovers that other DC villains may have followed along. Catwoman is also linked to the murder of a Don and gets to steal from the Vatican... which should be on every tourist's list of things to do while in Italy.

| I'm a big fan of Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale ever since Long Halloween. They do write/draw an awesome Batman, but I've been devouring all their Marvel stuff with just a verocious appetite - Spiderman: Blue, Hulk: Grey, and this book, Daredevil: Yellow. I love, LOVE the artwork. Really tired of looking at the regular Marvel guys draw the same old Daredevil, it's great to see a new twist and Sale is just awesome and does his own thing.
