| C=pi*d. That means the diameter has to be **multiplied** by "three and a little bit" in order to be equivalent to, or wrap around, the circumference of the circle. It takes "three and a little bit" diameters to get around the circle one time, not one diameter to get around the circle three and a little bit times. The engineer was right! Other than that, it was still a pretty good book, though. If you're a teacher with an older class, you can see if they can spot the error. |

| This book is so much fun. It has mathematical concepts I had never even heard of. For someone who lost their love of math through public school, I thoroughly enjoy reading the fun ideas presented here. It makes higher math skills available to non-math people without being threatening or overwhelming. I love this book. |

| This book is ok but not great. It's more of an idea starter, 'get you thinking', type of book. I agree with the other reviewers that, as a teacher, you can read a poem or two in class to get kids started on their own two voice math poems but don't rely on it for correct math or to be a resource for class. There is not enough varied content for that. It's more like a lesson plan that the author has expanded into a short book. |

| My appreciation for Theoni Pappas is enormous as for an observer and admirer of the world around her and mathematician. These factors cannot be separated, as at first you have to do more than just look around, but you have to have a beautiful mind of a child and be an intellectualist at the same time, not just to take things for granted, but as a child be curious and ask questions and finally as an intellectualist and mathematician find answers to them.

| I received the 2007 calendar from niece for Christmas last year, but no follow-up gift this year. So I was pleased this calendar was still available from Amazon. It's a great mix of math problems, where the answer is always known. I have a masters in math (from 30+ years ago), but there are days I can't solve to the answer. This is a fun calendar for any math lover out there. |

| This book does a good job of keeping to ol' noodle from turning into mush. But.... Just a few days ago I was somewhat frustrated by it. When checking my answers I was led to believe that I was wrong, but after checking and rechecking and writing a program treverse the curve (Dec 21) I found that the book was incorrect on this one(don't let that stop you from working it though).
