| When I visited the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Musuem (for the second time) last October, I saw this book at the cash register when I was buying my other purchases. I quickly thumbed through the book and saw that it had lots of pictures of things in the Lincoln era and since I love looking at photographs and painting from times gone by, I decided on an impulse to buy it.

| What I love about this book is that it's not girls in the kitchen cooking and Daddy praying. Both men and women in the book (sometimes) wear kippot. Oddly the rabbi seems to be wearing his tallis to dinner, but I'll trade that for the usual gender-biased books. |

| This is by far the best book I've ever read. It teaches girl the reality of the way a god sum of men use women for sex, and sex as a game. I consider this book, along with The Earth My Butt And Other Big Round Things and Forever, a must read for all high-school girls. |

| I bought this book for my 9 year old daughter, and she loved it. I agree with the starred review from Kirkus, and thought that the writing was clear and age-appropriate. I remembered that the author included information about the foundation in the book, went back and checked, and did find some info on 172-173 about the foundation. Both my daughter and I learned lots of new information about Ella's life. |

| A fun book about the different aspects of Passover, but may be a little over a toddler's head and suited more for pre-school and early school age children. Not a must have book, there are others that are a bit better, but if you are a book-olohic, then a book to have on the shelf! |
