| This is awesome book about snakes. If you are interested in snakes is it a must read. Did you know that a Boa can swollow something bigger than it's head? That is amazing plus the fact that there can be up to 18,000 snakes in one place. The book is filled with pictures and facts that will give you a new attitude when it comes to the way you look at snakes. This is the best but shortest book I've read. I would recommend it to anyone.

| I received this book from a thoughtful, loving, and dear kindred spirit of a friend and while it is being marketed as a children's book, I found that it was just as wonderful as an animal lover's or even a conservationists' (organic-free trade-decaffeinated) coffee table book. Nic Bishop's up close and personal photography is beyond any Life Magazine or National Geo quality color photos. | I have no problems with spiders. When an arachnid lodges itself in the upper right hand corner of my shower, it's me (not my hubby) who forces it into an empty glass and releases it back into the wilderness (i.e. out the window). I don't think they're particularly cute, but I respect what they do. Similarly, I didn't think I had any problems with tarantulas either. | This is an interesting and engaging way to enjoy nature. I've been reading the book to my 8yo daughter, then the next day we'll try to find correlates in our local environs (the book is from the Massachussets area, I live in Alabama). Very entertaining. |

| Last year when I when I was planning to go to the Amazon, I read Journey of the Pink Dolphins: An Amazon Quest by Sy Montgomery. It was an adult documentary about the author's journey in search of the Amazonian pink river dolphin. I not only enjoyed the book, but I fell in love with this amazing creature.
