| Thrilling, cliffhanger novel. I've never read any of Stephen White's novels before but the nice cover and "New York Times Best selling author" definetely attracted me to this book.
PROS: -Very thrilling! Very fast-paced book, you can expect to finish this book in 1-2 weeks. -Intricate plot, cliff-hanger, you rarely want to put the book down. | This is the first Stephen White mystery I've read, though I vaguely recall reading reviews of some of his other books, notably "Kill Me." In "Dry Ice" we have Dr. Alan Gregory, a psychologist, who is pursued by various demons--his relationship with his wife, his career, secrets in his life and, the crux of the novel, the evil machinations of an escaped inmate, Michael Macmillan, and the threats he brings to Gregory and his family. | Steven White's book, The Best Revenge, is a great addition to his growing library. This book allows his lead character, Alan, to grow a bit and test the edges of his personal journey while supporting a compelling plot. I enjoyed this book and recommend it without reservation. |

| I really enjoyed this book. I liked the concept of both of the kids in the family being in trouble in different ways. I was interested in how the managed care system wouldn't pay for the treatment and how the other child almost commits suicide. I loved the character interactions of how they figure out the mysteries of what happened and when. However the ending of this book was awful. | I read 2-3 books a week and very rarely recommend books to friends. This one i recommend over and over and over. Because i read so much, many books get 'lost' and i have a hard time remembering them. Not this one.
I won't rehash the story as it's been done previously, but trust me, it's an incredible ride. This is one that will stay with you long after you've read it. |
