| In browsing my book shelf I came upon and then found myself rereading this incredibly simple yet profound book. The principles and ideas Stephen writes about are truly ways to discover how to live your life as the person you want to be. I especially found the section where Stephen writes about how powerful unexamined attitudes and perceptions influence how I react toward situations and others. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as it was not only easy to read but, it provided valuable insight to what goes wrong during the communication process and how one can begin to steer the process back in a productive direction. | This book is excellent. As a fan of Steven Covey, this book by Steven Covey's son is one of the best self-help/business books I've ever read. It is worth every penny - even if you can't change the face of your organization, you start by learning to trust yourself. That alone, is the reason to invest in this book. | Many think this is a book for managers and the businessman. Wrong!
If you truly want to spend the rest of your life as a happy, fulfilled person, buy this book. You know you are giving it its dues when you revisit the sections on the first three habits time and time again. As a forty plus something yearold, the first set of habits took me several months to digest. Covey is the finest philosopher of our time, and this is truly a tour de force. Dave |

| The rules make sense and are qualities a good leader generally has. But there is no information to help grow these qualities. Instead I am left reading chapter after chapter about how well the author displays these qualities. Honestly I don't care how good the author is, I want to know how to grow these qualities in myself. |
