| These recipes all have three ingredients or less (not including water, salt, and pepper). They are not just things like grilled cheese either. My girls are 9 and 7. We tried it from the library first. It may be good for all the bachelors out there!

| I have over 200 cookbooks and this is one of my top ten. The author understands the idea that less is more when it comes to cooking. You have to wonder if a recipe has gone wrong when it list so many ingredients. You will find some recipes in this cookbook that are simple and easy to prepare, but most of them are more complex and I would not pick this book for someone that takes an hour to cook minute rice. | Your first concern must be: "Only three ingredients?! The recipes can't taste that good." Let me assure you that the recipes are absolutely delicious, despite the fact that they contain only three ingredients. (Recipes often contain salt and pepper, which are not considered ingredients.)

| This is a super-easy cookbook for all stages of low-carb dieting. Each recipe has exact calorie, carb and net carb, and other nutritional counts to make it easy to keep your carbs in check. Also, each recipe is labeled VLC (very low carb), LC (low carb) and ILC (indulgent low carb). The VLC is ideal for the induction phase of Atkins or phase 1 of the South Beach Diet. | Having a great time using this inspiring cookbook. It isn't easy getting wonderful food in this rural area and being able to cook uncomplicated perfectly flavored recipes without doing headstands makes Recipes 1-2-3 a terrific Christmas gift. I particularly like Gold's suggested menus they streamline my entertaining. Buy it! |

| I own or have cooked with all the Rozanne Gold cookbooks and each one is, well, solid Gold. Her recipes are simple, delicious, elegant even when they're just "homey food." The presentation is clear and simple and I have never yet tried one of her recipes and failed. |

| Although the concept is one that appealled to me, namely receipts with only three ingredients, I was a little disappointed because some of the required items were unfamiliar to me, and all but unattainable at my local market. I did, however, find a number of receipts that sound good enough to try with everyday ingredients. |

| This is a very decent cookbook (disclaimer: I own the first edition, so maybe it has changed since then), but the real reason to buy it is for its entertainment value. It's a bit like reading Gilderoy Lockhart. For example: "As executive chef at Lord & Taylor, I was often asked to invent dishes for famous guests that lunched in our boardroom. I made this for Sophia Loren. I put a heaping tablespoon of red caviar on top of the salad, and served it with graceful lacquered chopsticks. You can substitute Japanese pickled ginger and a fork." | A lot of people who cook aren't very good with baking. It's understandable, the personality traits that make you good at one of those endeavors tend to make you bad at the other.
None the less, cooks often have to make dessert. This sweet little book is chock full of good simple ideas that are also structures that will in your cook-like way, suggest a lot of other simple, unbakerly recipes.
