| I adore this book. I am a 4th grade teacher, and I read this book to my class. They were intrigued with the variety of words presented. The author offers a glossary for a greater understanding of the words. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to read or teaches writing. |

| I found 'Captain Snap' to be an intriguing book for all ages, particularly when using it with a few children all gathered 'round so we could examine the marvellous illustrations in great detail. As the above review points out, it is a familiar story line, but for those of us who are either young, or young at heart, it can be made new again. | I liked this book almost as much as I did the first time I read it--when it was "Mama Does the Mambo" by Katherine Leiner. It's too bad some authors and publishers lack the expertise (and integrity?) to recognize that this is a virtual (and verifiable) ripoff of Leiner's story, which has inspired, comforted and delighted children since it's publication 10 years ago.

| The illustration style is great complements the text well. The one thing bothers me is the boy in the story appears older than he should be. But if you get by that, it is a fun book after your child's bath time. |
