| I do not understand how people can claim this is a healthy depiction of a mother's love. The mother in this book understands no boundaries. It is very creepy that she sneaks into her grown son's room using a ladder after driving across town. While I understand and approve of the concept of unconditional love and being a mother myself have often told my girl that she will always be my baby, I do not believe in the extreme links this mother went to. | This book literally fits into a jacket pocket and is great instant entertainment when we are on the go and find ourselves: waiting in line, driving anywhere, sitting quietly in church, traveling on the airplane, eating school lunch, quiet time before bed . . . I'm sure there are more! Plus the story is classic Munsch, with a strong female character leading through hilarious antics with hair style and peer approval - or disapproval! Fabulous illustrations. |

| The book is about Tina and how she never wants to take her favorite pair of socks off even to have them washed! I think it is an excellent book for 4 to 8 year olds. We all know how funny it is to children to talk/hear about smelly things! "Eeew!"
The stinky smell of socks does not bother Tina, but it bothers everyone else including the animals... I think that it is hilarious to see what the stinky smell of her socks does to all the animals in her way. I also like how persistent Tina is against everyone ... Read More: |

| My daughter is a school teacher and she buys this book at a regular book store for a lot of her friends with kids. I noticed it was only $1.50 on Amazon so I bought several copies to give to needy children for Christmas. I was shocked when the book came and it was only about 3" x 3". I just looked at the current listing and it says the dimensions are 9.9" x 4.9". That is not the size of the book I received. This is the first time I have had this happen with Amazon. |

| I may have missed it in the product description but this book is too small for its intended public. My daughter can't relate to pictures this small, especially in a story with lots of text. We try to read tracing my finger over the words to help her with pre-reading prep but that isn't possible with this tiny book. Next time I'll pay the bucks for the full size item. |

| I purchased this set after reading the wonderful reviews here. I have to say I'm quite disappointed with these stories. They are really strange, sometimes scary and don't really have a moral to the story. My 3 1/2 yr old doesn't like them at all and she has quite an imagination but these were just too strange for her. |

| I knew the English version but truly enjoyed the French one. I have offered it to a few friends as a gift. The story is so touching. It makes me cry every time I read it to my son. |

| This book is very funny if you don't mind reading for 5 minutes about a boy who needs to pee. My son thinks it's hilarious, but then he's 12 and a little crude sometimes himself. I don't read it to my preschool class, because it does not convey an attitude that I want them to have. Also, some parents might find it a little offensive. All in all, it is funny but not for a group. |
