| My daughter loves these Usborne Great Searches books. The pictures are fun and the informative snipets in the margins are short enough to be interesting to even preschoolers (like mine). Great for long car trips and plane rides. |

| We have nine books in this Puzzle series (Ocean, Planet, Castle, Pyramid, Dungeon, Farm, Jungle, Mountain, and Car Race). We just got this one and it's a bit different than the rest. | I would recommend also looking at the compiliation called "Time Traveler" which includes all the four books: Pharoahs and Pyramids, Rome and Romans, Viking Raiders and Knights and Castles. Overall the Usborne books contain fairly detailed drawings and provide overhead views and maps. For instance a typical Viking eating hall, will have captions that points out who the people are, what food is cooked and how. The narrative line of the Time Traveler is burdensome. | The book covers a little of every thing, the viking culturegods and myths, and important vikings, not to forget somehistory. It is full of many colorful illustrations. It does not go into alot of detail. |

| I was very disappointed by this book, and if I were Native American, I might even be offended by it. The book attempts to generalize too much about a very diverse group of tribes and native groups, and it conflates time so much that it isn't always clear what happened prehistorically, what happened at contact, and what is true today. | I haven't read "text me" yet, but this book is just over twice as long. It teaches you how to speak almost EVERYTHING from "B = Be", "C = See", "LOL = Laughing out Loud", "BRB = Be right back", easy stuff like that to hard stuff like "StndBckImGoNaBrkTDOrDwn = Stand Back, I'm going to break the door down.".
